Sandy and Family:
So sorry to learn of Bill's passing. Sandy, as you may recall, Bill and I shared an apartment when we entered the Agency...long, long time ago. We also shared some assignments over the years of our careers. So I was fortunate to have known Bill both personally and professionally.
Although, regretfully, we didn't maintain contact after our respective retirements, I considered him a close and dear friend. Bill's friendship to all his friends has been special and we all are fortunate as a result.

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Unfortunately we lost contact over last few years. As you know, Bill and I shared an apartment from the time we entered the Agency. I went to work as a civilian.

I was honored to have worked with Bill, a humble, compassionate man who was always willing to share his wisdom so others could grow. A kinder person I don't think I've met.

Truly saddened by Bills passing. In the short span of time we knew him Becky and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and his wife Sandy. They were tremendous hosts to us when we visited, very generous of spirit and gracious. Making a delicious breakfast for us one time, Bill introduced us to Bustello, and we've been fans ever since. He also introduced us to Chocowine; were still mulling that one over. Whether making a meal (with lively conversation of course!) or taking us out to some great restaurants or giving us tips on things to do in DC, Bill was just a neat person to be around. We are very saddened but also grateful for the time we did have, and the wonderful memories we now have that we look back on fondly. Praying for the whole family in this time of grief, that the Lord would help assuage the pain of loss.

Bill was one of the most outstanding analyst I have every met. He was way ahead of time in innovating intelligence gathering and highly respected by his peares by both NSA and CIA. He will be missed by all. A true friend and mentor that has left me heartbroken.

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing, I so enjoyed conversation with him on any variety of topics, and especially while on our Italy Trip in 2001. Truly a gentleman who loved his family and so obviously loved Sandy. Peace and all good things to his family, and especially his mother.

I was most fortunate to have served with Bill over many years and respected him as a classmate, co-worker and good friend. He was indeed much more than an innovative native level linguist, keen analyst and visionary manager who expertly transitioned career fields and quickly mastered evolving technologies. His legacy will always be delivering Best Product, and willing offering Subject Matter Expertise and personal time to teach junior employees the way forward. God Bless You Bill.
