My fondest memories of my Aunt Mary are of those long summers spent at the farm when I was a kid. When my Dad (Raymond) would drive the family from Pittsburgh to Chillicothe for our annual visit with Aunt Mary, Aunt Delia, Charles, Edwin, my Uncle Larry Keith, my Grandpa and Grandma and several other friends and family there. I learned then just what a strong, independent woman my Aunt Mary was. She certainly kept us kids in line while we were there. Helping to reinforce my Mom and Dad’s parenting. My Dad has always said she was like his “second” mother to him… always there to help him out. And I know it was the Lance Family strength and tenacity that kept my Aunt Mary going for so many years. She will be missed!
