Leonie Yolanda Marsh

Ms. Leonie Yolanda Marsh (affectionately known by family and friends as Yoni), 65, passed away on January 15, 2017 in Annapolis, Maryland. A memorial service will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Today will be a Celebration of her Life, depicting the strength, courage and example she set for her Family, friends and all who were touched by this Angel.

Ms. Marsh was born on January 10, 1952 in Port Antonio, Jamaica, she moved in 1980 to Kingston, Jamaica. She migrated to the USA in 2003 to Bridgeport, Connecticut; in the summer of 2005 she left the USA to live with her daughter and son-in-law on the military installation in Germany until 2015 when she moved back to Maryland with the Family.

Ms. Marsh loved listening to contemporary gospel music; she loved sports and would always keep the family updated on the latest with basketball, football and tennis.  She loved to cook, and had a laughter that filled the room; she often mimicked the latest dance moves with her grandchildren, and was always the joy of her Family, and friends. Ms. Marsh enjoyed teaching her grandchildren about life.

Ms. Marsh is survived by: her brothers, Mr. Dennis Michael Marsh and Mr. George Cavalier; her son, Mr. Evord Everton Taylor; her daughters, Mrs. Sheryl Rosemarie Wright and Ms. Charmaine Elizabeth Carter; her granddaughters, Ms. Tristinna Donnika Taylor and Ms. Trudy-Ann Atroya Taylor; her grandsons, Donovan Raekwon Wright, Daniel Rahsaan Wright and Jahvanie Evord Taylor.

Rather than mourn the death of Ms. Marsh, she would want her Family and friends to celebrate her life, she touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.
