Aunt Jean I just don't know where to start. You have always been there for me. You let me be me. We had so many good times together. I will miss you terribly. I just can't believe I won't be able to see your beautiful smiles and get my hugs. I know it was your time to go but it was to soon for you to go. But I know you will be in no pain again. I LOVE YOU AUNTIE. Till we meet again aunt Jean.

January 28, 2015 12:02 PM

"So sleep now with the angels,
And your golden heart let rest.
Although our hearts are broken,
We know our God took the best."
Memaw, I can genuinely say this has been the hardest loss I have endured yet, the only thing that puts me at ease is that I know you are no longer suffering, that you can walk and breathe. I will think of you with a happy heart always thank you for always being there for me for my first 20 years, and please continue to look after me as my guardian angel.
It's never goodbye, because goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting and I will never forget my grandmother.
Love always until we meet again,
your buttercup

Jean was such a sweet, gentle woman and mother. Her kindness and beautiful smile left us all feeling like family. Never will we forget the first time we met, when we were neighbors in Laurel. She came to our door and invited us to Tina's Sweet 16 Birthday, told us it would probably be kinda loud, and would end at 10:30 pm. Though we didn't go, true to her word; it got as quiet as a church at exactly 10:30pm. Hearts are broken at her passing, memories will be shared by one and all, who were blessed just by knowing her. " Day is done; gone the sun, from the lakes, from the hills, from the sky; all is well, safely rest God is neigh." Good-bye Jean.
