I had no idea that Don had passed away. He was ALWAYS a pleasure to chat with. Such a wonderful, happy, dedicated man. My heart broke when I saw the note in the lab announcements.

To the family and friends of Don Hofius- I am saddened today to hear of Don's passing. He truly was a good man. He talked often of his family and happy home life. He made me smile even when I was having a bad day and I considered him a friend. I pray you are in a joyful place, Don. You will be missed.

It was always a happy morning when Officer Hofius was in Lobby One to greet me as I came into work. I will miss his smiley face and all our chats about Minnesota. My condolences to all who mourn. He will be missed.

My condolences to the Hofuius family on your loss. Donald was someone I called a friend here at APL. We would talk about (what else) football as he's a Vikings fan and I am a Redskins fan. I will TRULY miss our talks.

I'm sorry for your loss. I loved coming to work everyday to see Officer Hofius. He was always happy and in a good mood. He would make me smile and laugh. My day would brighten up when I would walk past the security desk he was working. He will be greatly missed.

I have worked at APL for 38 years and he was truly one of the kindness individual I had the opportunity to get to know at APL. This was quite a surprise, really just hooked up with him through FB. I'm one of his older cousins on the Root side. Our sincerous sypathies to you all.
