My dear friend, you will be greatly missed by colleagues and students. You were always willing to help anyone out. You encouraged your students. I will remember the workshops and sharing info we needed to make us better in our classrooms. Thanks for the laughs. Rest in peace, friend.

I am sorry to learn of Carl's illness and passing. I remember fondly when Anne and I had a nice visit with him in D.C. when we were there with two of our 16-year old grandchildren. He kindly gave us a personal tour of several federal buildings. It was a pleasure to have that time with him.

This is my teacher mr carl.. he is a man who has pushed me so much in my GED process to where i have succeeded in passing it all but the math.. he was a huge inspiration to me. He went above and beyond his duties as my teacher. He would still come to class after his treatments for the day he was so tired but he loved his students and i know he loved me.. i promise mr Carl Votteler i will finish my math in January when i am allowed to take it again and i will pass.. thank you so much for believing in me and so many others. GOD has gotten his self an awesome angel.. good bye my friend. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten in the Graham house. Prayers to the family so sorry for your loss. If i can do anything please let me know. God bless you all.
