Travis J Edelman

Travis J. Edelman unexpectedly passed away on June 25, 2024. Born on September 22, 1975 in North Platte, Nebraska to Mark and Dori (Summers) Edelman. At a very young age, Travis traveled with his parents and sister Kristin Marie, living in West Virginia, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Australia, and Texas all before the age of 10. In 1987, the family moved to the East Coast of the U.S., finally settling in Maryland in 1989.

Travis always enjoyed his summers and brief vacations in the Sandhills of Nebraska. He made many friends in his grandmothers hometown of Mullen, Nebraska. His best friend, Jeff Nichols and he often got up to hijinks while in Mullen. He attended Meade High School (Ft. Meade, MD) graduating in 1994. In 1993, Travis started a family with Daphna (Thomas) Morgan, where a beautiful girl entered his life, Jordan Marie Edelman. A second daughter with Keri (Stout) Matthews was born, Taylor Ann (Stout) Matthews.

Travis completed his Associate’s degree at Anne Arundel Community College. He did this while working as a plumber’s helper with neighbor and good friend Tim Smith. He then began working for RMF Engineering, as a Plumbing Design Engineer, working there for 22 years.

Travis enjoyed playing Texas Hold’em with friends and family at the Pometacom Poker Palor. He would frequently amaze fellow players with his ability to win hands that appeared impossible.

Travis leaves behind his parents Mark and Dori; his daughters Jordan and Taylor; a beautiful granddaughter, Madison Noelle Schindelle; sister Kristin Marie; nephews Justin David and Nathan Elliot Merrell-Edelman; grandmother Caroldene Summers and long-time girlfriend Erica Marrgaf. He was predeceased by his grandparents Leo and Josephine Edelman and Duane Summers; uncles Rick and Kevin Summers, Sidney Edelman, and Aunt Jill Edelman.
