Robert G. Kemp, Jr.

Robert G. Kemp, Jr., a resident of Jessup, MD, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. He was 83. Robert was born on July 13, 1939 in Washington, DC and was the son of the late Robert G. Kemp, Sr. and Helen M. (Newman) Kemp.

Robert was an ever-faithful steward of God and the Catholic Church. He provided for his family through his 30 years employed with IBM. Through his work, he grew to love computers and was rarely seen without a laptop, tablet, or phone. He was a humorous, kind, loving, gentle, and dedicated father and husband. He raised 5 strong, independent children who carry on his legacy.

Robert is survived by his loving children, Angela Gabrielle Thomas, Christina Marie Kemp, Shawn Christian Kemp, Anastasia Cassandra Kemp, and Mary Frances Davis; devoted sister, Georgetta K. Brown; 11 cherished grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Theresa McKay Kemp.

A Memorial Mass will be held on January 14, 2023, 10am at St. Lawrence Martyr Catholic Church, 7850 Parkside Blvd. Hanover, MD. Interment will follow to Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery, West River, MD.
