Robert “Bob” Victor Keller passed away unexpectedly on October 12, 2023. He was born November 19, 1937, in York, PA, the oldest of eight children of the late Charles Keller and Theresa Bisker Keller. Since 1973 he was a resident of Crofton, MD. He was employed by the Government Printing Office in Washington, DC from 1972 until retiring in 1999 and a card-carrying member of the Columbia Typographical Union. He served in the Army from 1959 to 1962.
He is survived by his dear wife of 55 years, Mary McDannell Keller, two sons, Craig, and wife Melanie (grandchildren Allison and Benjamin) of Pasadena, MD and Glen, and wife Donna (grandchildren Lauren and Leah) of Hanover, MD. Bob is also survived by six beloved younger sisters: Sylvia Swanson of Mystic, CT, Dolores Firestone of Dover, PA, Wanda O’Leary of New Providence, PA, Susan Boyer of Hellam, PA, Carol Euculano of Wilmington, DE, and Catherine Bankoske of Dallastown, PA. He is preceded in death by his infant twin sister, Audrey.
Bob’s main love was his family and friends. He and Mary also enjoyed boating, crabbing, old movies, road trips, and ballroom dancing. He was an avid boater for 62 years, and his family often referred to him as “Captain Bob” as he passed down the traditions of boating and crabbing to each of them. Bob and his family enjoyed camping/cabining in Crisfield, MD for 47 years. He was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church in Millersville, MD where he served many years as an Usher. Known for his storytelling, sense of humor, and friendliness, you could usually find him with a cup of coffee and a crossword puzzle.

There will be a visitation held on Thursday, October 19th, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at DONALDSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113. The funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20th, 2023, at 11:30 AM, at Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave S, Millersville, MD 21108. There will be a reception to follow.
