Marion Clyde Mcleod, Jr.

Marion Clyde McLeod, Jr. (“Mac”), a resident of Gambrills, MD, Passed away on Saturday, December 02, 2023, at his home.  He was 83.  Mac was born on February 19, 1940, in Madison, FL, and was the son of the late Marion Clyde McLeod, Sr., and Rosalie (née Smith) McLeod.

Mac grew up in rural Florida.  He was a proud Floridian, graduating from Bay County High School.  Mac spent his early military career in the Army as an enlisted soldier before he enrolled at Florida State University where he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force.  He is a distinguished Vietnam Veteran, serving 22 years in the military before retiring in 1982.  Mac continued serving the residents of the state of Maryland in numerous social services roles.

Mac was a steadfast camper and traveler throughout the United States and Europe.  He enjoyed time with family in his camper, “Renegade”, which included taking his grandsons on several memorable trips.  Later in life, Mac enjoyed cruising with his wife and extended family.

Mac is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years,  Jean Anne McLeod (née Harrington), three loving daughters, Karen Anne McLeod of Gambrills, MD, Susan Marian McLeod of San Diego, CA, Constance Lynn McLeod Marroquin (Juan Carlos) of Spring Hill, TN, two cherished grandsons, Juan Diego and Juan Pablo;  and his loving sister, Rosmari McLeod Wall.  Mac was predeceased in death by his sister Bertha Eloise Ramsey (Andrew), and brother-in-law Bill Wall.
