Margaret C. (Callahan) Tipton

Margaret Elizabeth (Beth) Callahan Tipton of Odenton, MD went to meet her heavenly father on April 28, 2023 at the age of 74. She can now join her husband, David G. Tipton, in the Lord’s loving embrace. Beth is pre-deceased by her mother, Aileen Callahan, her father, Jim Callahan and her brother, Tom Callahan. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Shipley, her husband Travis Shipley and her two cherished grandchildren, Cole and Jackson Shipley, as well as her younger brother, Rob Callahan.  

To her family and friends she was a wonderful person, always full of joy and smiles and always willing to share and help. She was an elementary school teacher for 28 years and was well loved by the students she taught. 

Beth was born in Stonega, VA in 1949 but grew up in Aiken, SC. She graduated from Aiken High School and Marshall University with a masters degree in Education. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, theater, and travel. She supported Hospice of the Chesapeake Foundation and various other charitable organizations.
