Lawrence William Moore

Lawrence W. Moore, “Larry” of Baltimore, MD, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 09, 2023. He was 70. Larry was born on January 24, 1953, in Vineland, NJ and was the son of the late Larry and Margaret Moore. After graduating Vineland High School, Larry enrolled at SCF Bradenton College. Larry loved to be on the road and he found his true love by becoming a Truck Driver. After 25 years with Tri State Trucking he retired from Pitt Ohio. His many interests included fishing and golfing. As a long time coach for the LFYAA (Linthicum Ferndale Youth Athletic Association), Larry spent many years coaching the boys basketball. His greatest joy was coaching his grandson, Josh. He was affectionately known as the "Coach." His jokes and dry sense of humor will be missed by many.

Larry is survived by his loving siblings; Edward and MaryJane, Roland, Mary and Keith and David; 4 caring nephews, Richard, Scott, Matthew, and Kevin; caring niece, Michelle; devoted stepdaughter, Dorothy Lucas Martin and son in law Tony; caring grandson, Josh Sockriter. Larry is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
