On the evening of July 19, 2024, at the age of 83, after a prolonged illness, Jacqueline Izetta Smallwood, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister went home to God. Jackie was educated in the Baltimore City public schools and had a career as a homemaker, and later as a budget analyst in the federal government.
Jackie leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 64 years John Norman Smallwood Sr, devoted daughters Gina, Pamela, and Yvette (John Norman Jr.). Cherished grandchildren Teale (Enri), Ian, Brayden, Ryan and great grandchildren Trenton, Avery, Ezekiel, Sarai, Ezra and Benjamin. Her sister and best friend Brenda Johnson (Larry), brother in law Paul Smallwood, numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Her loving son John Norman Jr predeceases Jacqueline, as does her parents Benjamin Sr and Marion Fleet, siblings Roberta, Verla, Corrine, Benjamin Jr, and Carolyn.
Jackie will be remembered as being small but mighty. Her family was most important to her. She will be missed each day.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be sent to Lyla Haven Assisted Living, were Jackie was cared for in the last 7 years of her life.
