Howard Jackson Obituary

Howard Eugene Jackson of Berwyn Heights Maryland passed away on September 5, 2020 at the age of 72 in his home surrounded by his family and friends.

Howard was born July 28, 1948 to father Paul Vincent Jackson and mother Margaret Faye Jackson, in Washington DC. The Jackson family lived in Berwyn Heights where Howard volunteered for the Berwyn Heights Maryland Fire Department during the mid-60’s.

Howard started his lifelong career in the HVAC Mechanical Field at Beltsville Heating & AC.  A few years later he would join the DCM Sheet Metal company in 1977 and became Vice President until the business closed in 1991. Howard and his longtime friend Danny Main developed a business partnership where they continued to service the tri-state area until 2009. Howard continued full ownership of the company until 2019 when he retired.

Howard had a lifetime passion for fishing and boating on the Chesapeake Bay since Highschool.  He competed in numerous Rod and Reel tournaments, his favorite was the Maryland Rockfish Open, where he was banned from competing after his fifth year of first place. Continuing his love of fishing and sea life Howard obtained his Captain’s License and would operate his own Charter Boat service “Dream Maker” for many years.

Howard was preceded in death by his wife LaRhonda Jackson, his parents Paul and Margaret Jackson, brothers David and Richard Jackson and sister Margaret “Peggy” Gezelle. He is survived by his brother Jamie Jackson and sister-in-law Rhonda, sister Edith Potter, son Joseph Jackson, daughters Angela Patterson and Heather Coughenour and son-in-law Michael, and his grandchildren Roman, Daniel, Haley, Mina, Emma, Hannah, Gus, JoLee, Madison and many nieces and nephews. There will be a Celebration of Life for both Howard and LaRhonda next summer with family and friends.
