Hetal Patel is the son of Late Shri Chandrakantbhai Patel and Shrimati Pratimaben Patel. He was born in Balasinor, Gujarat, India, on September 5, 1972. Hetal is a graduate of the Maharaja Sayajirao (MS) University. He graduated with a degree in Mathematics in 1993.
He moved to the United States in 1996 and a short year later, et his soulmate and life partner Dipti in October 1997 and the two married shortly after on December 14, 1997. Hetal started his own Baskin Robbins in Durham, NC. Later, they moved to Delaware where Hetal began his career in Hotel Management.
Life only got better with the addition of their two sons, Arnav and Ronit. Hetal loved being a father to his two boys and encouraged them to pursue their talent and passion.
Hetal was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed a good mystery novel. He enjoyed listening to the classical hits of Mukesh and ghazals and dancing. His favorite time was time spent outside from his daily walks to the hikes around state parks in Maryland, and he loved the outdoors. He was an active member of the Swaminarayan temple. He enjoyed playing cards, traveling with his love Dipti and the boys, and tasting all of Dipti’s finest cuisines.
He is survived by his mother, wife Dipti, children Arnav and Ronit, brother Kalpesh, Anila bhabhi, nephew Karan, mother and father in laws Bipin and Gita Patel, brother-in-law Chirag, sister-in-law Snehal, and nephew Riyan.
Quiet by nature, he made everyone feel special. He took a keen interest in any conversation. The last few weeks of his journey he touched so many souls. His jolly spirit, helpful nature, and loving personality will forever be missed. Gone, but not forgotten!
