Gordon Hedges Jr, 72, of Severn, MD, passed away surrounded by his loving family Wednesday (10/16/2019) at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

Gordon Jr was born 10/20/1946 in Washington, DC as the middle child to Gordon and Mildred Hedges. He retired from the USAF as a MSgt after 20 years of service. He continued to work at NSA and retired after another 20 years. He was a very kind and loving husband to his wife of 48 yrs, Erlinda. They raised a son and a daughter and have one granddaughter. During his time in the Air Force, he was stationed at various overseas locations and retired in Aurora, CO. He enjoyed many hobbies in his life. Bowling, golf, hunting, fishing, reading and making friends. Many of his friends have described him as a true and loving friend.

Gordon Hedges Jr is survived by his wife, Erlinda Hedges; son, Gordon Hedges III; daughter, Maria Hedges; granddaughter, Kiara Hedges; younger sister, Karen Zembek. Along with several loving nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon Hedges Sr and Mildred Hedges, and older sister Betty Secor.
