Gloria Rafsky

We celebrate the life of Gloria Singson Rafsky, age 81 who passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024. She is preceded in death of her loving husband Leonard Rafsky and had shared 52 years of marriage together.

Gloria was born in the Philippines and was the daughter of the late Potenciano Singson and Victoriana Leonor Singson.

She always loved spending quality time with her family.  Her favorite hobbies included cooking, gardening, fishing, crabbing, shrimping and spending time at the beach with her children and grandchildren at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In her spare time, she also loved to design and sew dresses at home, because of her advanced skills as a seamstress, she was always recognized as an outstanding employee at her place of employment.

Gloria was of Catholic faith and had attended Saint Anne's Catholic Church with her late husband and family for many years.  She was known as "Yayay" to all her grandchildren.

As a distinct honor, Gloria received a White House Certificate of Appreciation for her support to the White House Louisiana Presidential Team.

She will truly be loved and missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Gloria is survived by her four loving children, May Urso (Cardo), Miguel Rafsky (Rebecca), Danilo Rafsky and David Rafsky (Michele); eight cherished grandchildren, Tiffany Rafsky, Lauren Urso, Dominic Urso (Aubrey), Dillon Rafsky, Anthony Rafsky, Brandon Rafsky (Laura) and Noah Rafsky; three adorable great grandchildren Maci Marie Rafsky, Hartlyn Rafsky and Oliver Rafsky; devoted sisters and brothers Estellita Singson DePedro, Pedro Singson, Adora Singson Jayme; and her caring nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her sisters Elisa Singson Lariosa, Purificasion Singson Cortez, Lucia Singson Parahinog; brother Salvador Singson and grandchild Daniel Scott Rafsky

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 pm. Burial will be held at the Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, FL at a later date.
