Gertrude "Trudy" (Norris) Kostkowski

Gertrude “Trudy” Kostkowski of Millersville, MD passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at her residence, at the age of 98.  Trudy was born on February 23, 1920 in Leonardtown, MD to the late Margaret Pauline Norris (nee Clark) and Alvin C. Norris.

Trudy moved to Millersville, MD in 1937, at the age of 17. She married Raymond in 1939; and attended the same church for the rest of her life. She was completely dedicated to God and to her family. She loved cooking and was an excellent seamstress. After raising her children, she babysat for most of her grandchildren and was known as “Gram.” Everyone who knew her loved her kind, gentle nature and sharp wit.

Trudy is survived by her 10 children, Joe, Mary, Don, Bill, Mike, John, Carol, Ed, Joni and Genie; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.  In addition to her parents, Trudy was preceded in death by her two sons, Raymond and Robert, and her husband, Raymond.

The family will receive friends at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of the Fields Roman Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Avenue, South, Millersville, MD 21108 on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  A committal service will follow the Mass in the church cemetery.
