Elfriede Ott Deubel, (92), formerly of Jessup, passed away at Heartlands Assisted Living of Severna Park, on Thursday, December 24, 2020. She was married to Kenneth Deubel who predeceased her in 2007. Mrs. Deubel was born in Obersteinbach, Germany, on June 16, 1928 to Friedrich and Berta Ott. She was the third child of nine and was predeceased by six siblings. She is survived by two sisters and one sister-in-law residing in Germany. In addition, she leaves two step-daughters, twelve nieces and six nephews. Mrs. Deubel moved to the USA after marrying her first husband (John R. Hubbard who passed away in 1967). As an accomplished tailor she opened a very successful business serving the communities surrounding Fort Meade, MD, retiring after 35 years. She enjoyed reading, sewing, staying up to date on the news of the world and, though many miles removed, stayed very close to her extended family in Germany. Mrs. Deubel will be buried in Arlington National cemetery next to her husband (John R. Hubbard) at a later date and when Covid restrictions are removed.
