Donald Joseph Bolser

The family of Donald Joseph Bolser is deeply saddened to announce his passing on August 8, 2024 at the age of 69 years old.

A native of Bethel, CT, he was born on December 15, 1954 to the late Donald B. Bolser and Gloria A. Bolser.

Don graduated from Bethel High School in 1973 and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving from 1973-1976. After completing his military service, Don continued to serve his country over the next 46 years. He worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency from 1976-1981 and continued working in the field with Sterling Software, Computer Associates International, and Northrop Grumman, before retiring in 2020.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lynn Hoo Nam Bolser, his son, Christopher Daniel Bolser of Severn, MD, and his goddaughter Lori Susan Cherwa of Virginia Beach, VA, as well as her two sons.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters – David Bolser of Hendersonville, NC, Anne Bolser of Mountain Home, NC, Kathy Hopson of Berryville, VA, Dorothy Rogers of Asheville, NC, Michael Bolser of Fairview, NC, and their spouses. He was also very loved by his 10 nieces and nephews.

Visitation and a memorial service will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. in Odenton, MD at 10 AM on August 17, 2024. A livestream of the service will be made available for those who are unable to attend in person. Click HERE to view livestream.  He will be buried with military honors at the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors Project , Alzheimer’s Association ,or to a charity of your choosing.
