Collin Acklin Obituary

On May 5, 2023, Collin Anthony Acklin of Odenton MD passed away and was embraced by his loving Savior.

Collin was a cherished son of David A. Acklin and the late Jeanna M. Acklin, as well as a beloved brother of Stephanie Acklin. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Eleanor Acklin, Robert and Nellie Cheatham, and his uncle Jeff Acklin.

He is survived by many loving family members, including Nancy Nelson (late husband Pat) and their two children; Brandi Norris (husband Chris) and their seven children; Holly Cheatham and her son; Collin's girlfriend, Julia Furmage; and Collin's extended family Norrine and Ray Valderrama and their son Kenny Reshenberg III and their daughter Melissa Duffield (husband Sam) and their three children.

Collin attended Arundel High School, where he enjoyed playing football and soccer, and he graduated with the Class of 2020. He discovered his passion for welding at the Center of Applied Technologies North (CAT NORTH). He was a hard working and dedicated apprentice with Local 486 Steamfitters Union and employed with Patapsco Mechanical.

Collin's hobbies included restoring his fathers 66 Chevelle with his father, riding dirt bikes with his friends, and enjoying muscle cars and shooting guns. He had a close-knit group of lifelong friends whom he cherished spending time with.

Collin was very family-oriented and held all of his relationships close to his heart. He adored his dogs, Axel and Bentley, and they brought him much joy and companionship throughout his life.

Collin will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
