Chester Lee Armstrong, a resident of Hanover, Maryland passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 19th, 2023. Lee was born on May 27th, 1954 in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Dexter Jackson Armstrong, Jr. and Juanita Hunt Armstrong of Odenton, MD.
Lee is survived by his son Robert Poole, daughter Stephanie Armstrong and daughter-in-law Christina Armstrong; beloved grandchildren, Seyenna, Kylie, Tyler, Ava & Maximus; siblings Debbie Cross, Dexter J. Armstrong III and his wife Pamela, Rose O’Haran, Laura Poulin, Gary Martin and his wife Trish, Michael Biller and his wife Stacy; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Diane, daughter Jessica, son Kyle and brothers Guy and Bruce. Lee served in the Army before fulfilling a career as a Network Engineer stateside and abroad over the years.
Lee’s greatest hobby was spending time with his family. He was an avid Ravens fan and enjoyed attending games with family and friends. He enjoyed all things sports including coaching his youngest son and teammates. He loved to host gatherings for family, friends, and neighbors. Lee was not one to sit still and was always working on a project around the house or yard. He enjoyed many trips to the Outer Banks vacationing with family and friends. Lee was an animal lover and provided a loving home to countless dogs over the years.
The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. on Sunday, April 30th, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A service will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. on Monday, May 1st, 2023 at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County.
