Catherine Eckford

On March 17th, Catherine Eckford, age 88, went home to be with the Lord. Devoted wife to the late Robert Lee Eckford; beloved mother and best friend of Cathy Vhaness Eckford. She was predeceased by three sisters and one brother.  Catherine proudly served her country as a member of the United States Army. She worked in the catalog ordering department for Sears until she retired. Catherine loved her flower and vegetable garden, especially enjoying the taste of her freshly grown tomatoes.  She enjoyed exercising at Curves and participating in Zumba with her friends. Most especially, she loved spending time with her girlfriends and her daughter.   Interment at Arlington National Cemetery, with honors, will be held at a later date.  Please check back for updates.
