Carl L. Washington entered heaven’s gates on January 10, 2021, at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center, Glen Burnie Maryland following illness at the result of Sarcoidosis. Carl was the first son of Joyce Y. Washington and Carlton L. Frye. Born and raised in Washington, DC. Carl was a diehard Washingtonian and loved his city to the end. Carl loved people and never meet a stranger.
He went to High School and continued his education to receive his GED. Carl worked with his father as a florist assistant and developed a love for everything about cut flowers.
In his youth, Carl and his brother collected match box cars. He found his love for “cars”. The Ford Mustang became his passion. Carl bought his first Mustang at 18. If you knew Carl, you knew his love for The Mustang. Carl was a collector of watches and loved fined jewelry.
Carl worked varying jobs until he found his home with Maryland Environmental Services as a Maintenance Mechanic. There he met his “Bewitched” Samantha Thain and they were later married. Carl and Samantha were the match of a lifetime. This union brought together their children’s; Demetrick, Amir, Jazmynn. Let’s not forget about the famous “Baby”. Carl loved his dog (Baby)!!! They were in separatable.
Carl was preceded in death by his father Carlton L. Frye, Sr. and his brother Carlton Frye, Jr.
He leaves to celebrate his life, his wife of 9 years, Samantha Washington, two sons, Amir Evans of Knightdale, NC, Demetrick Fegurger of Severn, MD, one daughter, Jazmynn Jelks of Severn, MD; one brother, Mark Corbin of Kapolei, HI; his mother, Joyce Corbin-Jones of MD and a host of family and friends.
