Carey was born on August 23,1964 in Huntington Station, NY.  He was very passionate about Real Estate and was studying to get his Real Estate license prior to his death. Carey was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and loyal friend. He loved his family, dogs, food and music. Construction projects with his brother in law Deryck, was one of his favorite past times.  In his younger days, Carey enjoyed running a trucking Company with his son Carey Jr. and having that one on one time together to talk about life and their goals.  Carey was a great cook. He loved watching comedy, crime TV, Columbo.  Another of his favorite TV times was watching the basketball games with his sister Carmen. Carey spent time with his son-in laws and grandsons at football games.  He enjoyed playing Chess with his son Joseph while having serious conversations about life. Carey was the life of the party, he loved family functions and card games (spades).  Carey was always willing to help anyone in need.  He even ran into two burning houses to get families out without regards for his own safety.  He was a true friend that would literally give you the shirt off his back.  His smile and laughter were contagious.  If you didn’t like Carey, you were the problem, not him.  He was kind and considerate of others feelings.  Carey also loved going to car shows, concerts, and plays, especially ones his cousin J.D Lawrence starred in and produced.  He was very proud of him and hoped he knew this.  Carey was the parent that always told the kids how proud of them he was, and always had words of encouragement on standby for any and all occasions.
