Angela Judith Isabella Sirko was born on 31 August 1991 in Clarksville Tennessee to her parents, Ms. Stacey Carrasquillo and the late Mr. James Purcell. Angie moved to New Jersey as a baby and grew up in South Amboy New Jersey with her sister Amanda, and her brother Remy. In 2009 she graduated from South Amboy High School. In May of 2012 SSG Sirko enlisted in the United States Army where she met her husband, Shane. The two married in 2014 and have two children, a daughter, Isabella, and a son, Kai. In her free time, Angie loved art, playing video games, and racing.
During her time in the military, Angie attended basic training at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and Advanced Individual Training at Goodfellow Airforce Base to become a Signals Intelligence Analyst. During her time in the military, Angela was stationed in San Antonio Texas, Schofield Barrack Hawaii, and Fort Meade Maryland. During her time in the Army, Angie worked in numerous different missions and job roles; serving with the highest levels of honor and dedication to duty, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. Staff Sergeant Angela Sirko’s awards include the Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, and the Overseas Service Ribbon.
SSG Sirko was a fantastic Mother, Wife, Daughter, Friend, and Soldier. She was and will forever be cherished, loved, and remembered by her friends, family, and brothers and sisters in arms.
