On April 25, 2025, Willie Ann Dillon went home to be with the Lord. Beloved wife of 44 years to the late Gary O. Dillon; loving mother of Gregory Cummings Sr. and his wife Tonette, Carla Morrison (Cummings) and her partner Michael, and Tonya Flichman (Cummings) and her husband Richard; caring sister of Victor Morrison and the late Linda Reid; cherished grandmother of Dr. Marloin Cummings, Nyonica Kennedy, Tonya Summerville, Gregory Cummings, Gary Cummings, Gregory L. Cummings II, Shai Cummings, and Jasmine Craig; adoring great-grandmother of Raedon Wright. She is predeceased by her parents Godfrey and Allie Totton, adopted parents Bert and Barbara Reid. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, dear friends and cherished godchildren.

As a military wife, Willie and her family moved frequently, which resulted in her working a variety of jobs. As a devout Christian and lover or praise and worship, she worked as a gospel disc jockey. She was a day care worker while stationed in Korea and a military hospital administrator while stationed in Germany.  While living in Chicago, she worked for the U.S. Postal Service and held the honor of being the first woman of color mail carrier. She was even a TSA agent at BWI for a number of years before retiring from the workforce. Willie loved worshipping and honoring God and was a member of the RhemaNation Church in Georgia. Willie loved all types of crafts from crocheting to making jewelry, when she wasn’t shopping for deals and sales. She was a social butterfly and because of her kind and generous spirit she never met a stranger. Known for her excellent cooking, friends and family would often stop by in anticipation of a delicious meal.  But most especially, Willie loved spending time with her family and dearest friends. May her love for us continue to shine in our hearts, a testament to her life well-lived in faith.
