William Byron Phelps, Jr.

William Byron Phelps, Jr., “Barney”, a resident of Severn, MD, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at his home. He was 95. Barney was born on July 3, 1926 in Baltimore, MD and was the son of the late William Byron Phelps, Sr. and Lola (nee Clark) Phelps.

Barney is survived by his loving son, David L. Phelps and wife, Wendy of Severn, MD; devoted sister, Claire Hood; beloved grandson, Corey Mullins and wife, Eri; three cherished great-grandchildren, Caden, Connor and Collin Mullins; Barney is preceded in death by his wife, Alberta.

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 2 pm to 4 pm & 6 pm to 8 pm. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 9, 2023 at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow to MD Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Odenton Volunteer Fire Department, 1425 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113.
