On November 17, 2014, William "Bill" H. Donoho, a resident of Crownsville since 1985, passed away at the age of 70. Devoted husband of 26 years to Patricia C. Donoho; Beloved father of Michael P. Donoho of Centreville and Lesley C. Donoho-Cohen of Annapolis; Caring step-father of Brenda C. Jackson of Pasadena, Linda Kowal of Brooklyn Park, Lisa Connolley Hare of Severn, Charita M. Connolley of Annapolis, Patricia A. Connolley of Westminster, Alice M. Connolley of Severn and John F. Connolley III of Gambrills; Loving brother of Wilma Fuhr of Ohio. Cherished grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 1. He was predeceased by his sister Gail Lenghirt and step-daughter Jacquelyn D. Connolley.
Born in Baltimore, Bill proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. He retired as a Major from the Anne Arundel County Police Department, having served from 1967 to 1992. He then worked as the Director of Security for the Motor Vehicles Administration from 1999 to 2009, before retiring again. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #89 in Annapolis, the N.R.A., and the Fraternal Order of Police #70 in Crownsville. Bill also graduated from the FBI Academy. Bill enjoyed tinkering in his den, always fixing and creating things such as knife handles, jewelry and tools. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting his bow. If you knew Bill, you knew how much he loved his truck and his sweet tooth for bear claws and snowballs. Most especially, Bill loved spending time with his grandchildren.
