William Altman

On June 14, 2026, William "Bill" Altman passed away peacefully at the age of 81.

Bill was the beloved husband of 58 years to Faith Altman; loving father of Brian Altman (wife Aileen) and Scott Altman; and cherished grandfather of Jacob and Cooper Altman. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Ruth Altman and his brother Michael Altman.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Bill built a life centered on family, friendship, and adventure. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Later, he worked as an accountant for a travel agency, a career that perfectly complemented his lifelong passion for exploring the world. Together, Bill and Faith enjoyed countless journeys, both across the United States and abroad. Among the many destinations they visited, Italy held a special place in Bill's heart, thanks to its rich culture and, especially, its unforgettable cuisine.

Bill and Faith eventually made their home in Delaware, where they spent 14 wonderful years making new friends, creating lasting memories, and continuing their travels. Later, they relocated to Maryland to be closer to family.

A proud member of the Knights of Pythias, Bill enjoyed a variety of hobbies throughout his life. He was an avid stamp and coin collector, a dedicated ten-pin bowler, and a passionate fan of the New York Yankees. One of the highlights of his life was attending Yankees Fantasy Camp, where he fulfilled a lifelong dream of playing baseball alongside former Yankees players while enjoying an unforgettable week immersed in the game he loved.

Bill will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his adventurous spirit, his warm friendships, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. His legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly and the many memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
