On August 17, 2024, William “Bill” A. Highberger of Crownsville passed away at home. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late William and Margaret Highberger, Bill graduated from Indiana State University. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army in the Criminal Investigation Division. After retiring from the military, Bill became very active in the Moose Lodge. He was a Charter Member of the Odenton Moose Lodge #2601 and received his Pilgrim’s Degree in 2014. He was a former secretary of the Baltimore Moose Legion 10 and a former Administrator of the Odenton Lodge, which later became the Annapolis Lodge #296. Bill was a hunter and avid outdoorsman. He also enjoyed participating in the Great American 250 Lawnmower Race at Blob’s Park and served as the Chairman of the Chesapeake Lawnmower Racing Association. Bill loved spoiling his three cats and feeding the strays that would visit. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends at Perry’s Restaurant in Odenton. Bill is predeceased by his life companion, Joyce Trott. He is survived by his cousins, Cheryl Petrini, Cheri Lou Petrini, and Carl Perry and Joyce's grandchildren Riley Evens and her great-grandchildren LJ and Taylor.
