Vincent Edward Patasce age 69, passed away at his home in Pasadena, Maryland on December 30, 2023. He was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. The son of the late Joseph Patasce and the late Lucy Pizzuto Patasce.
Vince grew up in a home of talented musicians. Vince showed his interest in the organ as soon as he could climb up on the bench. He took organ lessons as a child. He would then take his organ music down stairs and teach himself how to play the piano. He was a very talented musician. As a child he insisted he take his lessons and practice seriously before going out to play with his friends.
Vince served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier the USS Ranger as an Avionics Technician. He also provided music for the church services on board. He also played at the churches he attended. He y enjoyed playing for all ages, but especially the children in his Sunday school class.
Vince is preceded in death by his parents. Sister Joyce Patasce Musser and brothers Victor and Joey Patasce.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Caylor Patasce and his stepsons Vince Whitmer and David Karper. His grandchildren, Hanna Whitmer and Bronson Whitmer. Niece Jodi Musser Sabo and nephew Vic Patasce. Great nephew Alex Klucher and great niece Meghan Kluchar.
And we can’t forget his best friend for life, Donny Fortunato who provided love, stories, support and wisdom. Vince is now at peace with the Lord.
Interment will be at the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, Maryland.
