Vijay Kumar Joshi

On the evening of March 30, 2014, Vijay Joshi passed away after battling cancer for a number of months. Vijay was being visited and comforted by family members at the Gilchrist Hospice Center in Columbia, MD at the time of his passing. Vijay was 62 years old.

Vijay Joshi was born in the city of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh in India in 1951. He was the son of Shanta and Kundan Lal Joshi. Vijay is survived by his wife Anila Joshi; his children Nitin Joshi, Kamayani Odegard, son-in-law Chris Odegard, and siblings. Vijay was a cherished grandfather to Shaan Odegard.

Vijay was a devoted husband and father and did everything and anything for his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and his charisma for life was felt by all.

The family will receive friends and family at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, Maryland 21113, on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 11:00am to 1:00pm.
