Velma Dorothy Jane Smart

Velma Dorothy Jane Smart, a resident of Odenton, MD, passed away on April 6, 2013 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, at the age of 84. Velma was born on January 20, 1929 in Luton, England and was the daughter of the late Alfred Arthur Bright and Henrietta Dorothy (Boniett) Bright.

Velma is survived by her loving children; David Keith Underwood and wife, Sally of Millersville, MD and JoAnne Smart and husband, Ted Stewart of Odenton, MD; two devoted granddaughters, Kerri A. Underwood and Christina M. Smart; two cherished great grandchildren, Shianne Spicer and Gemma Yates. Velma is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Allison Smart and son, Henry Allison Smart, Jr. "Tom".

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm & 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2013 in the Donaldson Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00am. Interment will be private.
