Theresia "Terry" J. Mcguire

On March 6, 2016, Theresia “Terry” J. McGuire passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 68.  Born in Maryland, Terry was a lifelong resident of the greater Annapolis community.  Devoted wife of 46 years to William Patrick McGuire; beloved daughter of Theresia Wagner and the late Nicholas Wagner; loving sister of Nicholas “Andy” Wagner, Christine M. Tilton, and Angela M. Mercanti; and loving aunt of Allen and Alex Mercanti.

Terry was Assistant to the Dean at St. John’s College in Annapolis, retiring last year after more than 40 years at the College.  She loved boating, sailing, attending the theatre, and traveling with her husband.  Terry was not an ordinary woman, she used her talent and love to bring family and friends together so that we could share in her happiness.  Terry was a strong believer in family, making sure we were together for all holidays and family events as witnessed by her love for all of us and her passion for entertaining.  Terry had an affection for all animals, and they just seemed to be drawn to her - wild and domestic.  Most especially though, she loved her two cats, Bode and Marina.  Terry's caring nature and generosity will be greatly missed.  All loved Terry dearly, and will cherish many fun filled memories.
