Theresa P. Chandler

On Christmas morning, Theresa Peace Chandler went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 77.

High school sweethearts, Theresa met her future husband Tony while they were taking their SATs.  Although she was born in North Carolina, her husband’s military career took them many places, and she especially loved the time she lived in Germany.  They were eventually stationed at Ft. Meade before moving to Severn in 1987 where they finished raising their family.  Theresa worked for the Anne Arundel County Board of Education for over 30 years and teaching was truly her passion. She was also an active member of the Fresh Start Church in Glen Burnie.

Beloved wife of 57 years to Tony Chandler; Devoted mother of Rhonda L. Chandler and the late Clifton Chandler Sr.; Loving daughter of the late Moses and Sophia Peace; Caring sister of Braxton Peace of Virginia (wife Gwen), Sharon Essix of North Carolina, and the late Wayland Peace; Adoring grandmother of Clifton Chandler Jr.  She is also survived by two nieces, one nephew, one great-nephew and a host of other family members and dear friends.
