Tamela (Tami) Renee Baublitz of Westminster, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 in Tennessee. Tami was born on July 21, 1966 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to the late John and Clara Towns who preceded her in death at an early age.
Tami earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland in 1989; she was a very proud Terrapin. She was a member of the Odenton Church of God where she was involved in the Children’s Ministry, the Greeters Team, and Evangelism Department. Many of the younger members referred to her affectionately as “Aunt Tami.” Tami became involved in the Elks Club of Westminster with her husband, Richard.
Tami is survived by her loving husband Richard Baublitz; mother, Dianne Hatmaker; son, Zachary Taylor; two stepsons, Brandon Baublitz and James Blalock; five sisters, Toni Fava (Scott), Ailanna Collins (Ronald), Yvonne Sweeney (Eddie), Kimberly Brignac, Katherine Assadi and brother in law Alan Brown, along with fifteen nieces and nephews. She leaves behind numerous family and friends that she impacted over the years.
Her father, Bill Hatmaker; brother, John Towns; sister, Renee Brown and stepson, Joey Blalock, preceded Tami in death.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A. 1411 Annapolis Road Odenton, Maryland 21113 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Odenton Church of God 1460 Berger Street Odenton, Maryland 21113 at 10:00am. Interment services will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Finksburg, Maryland.
