Steven "Steve" Paul Lemmey

Steven "Steve" Paul Lemmey of Laurel, MD passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in Crownsville, MD. Steve was born in Glen Cove, NY to the late Ed Lemmey and Connie (Fox) Lemmey, and lived in Laurel, MD for most of his adult life.

Steve graduated from Cornell University and the University of Maryland School of Law. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, he worked for the Prince George's County State's Attorney, the Joseph, Greenwald and Laake Law Firm, the Maryland Attorney General, and the Maryland Commission on Judicial Disabilities. Steve had a lifelong passion for photography, enjoyed the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens, and was deeply devoted to his extended family and their dogs. His charitable activities included the Laurel Lions Club and the Prince George's County Christmas in April organizations.

Steve is survived by his wife, Alice Kelley; daughter, Kelly Fox Lemmey; son, Christopher Edgar Lemmey; four sisters, Liz (Jeanne), Peggy (John), Tina (Roy) and Laura, and his brother, Donald (Jill), and many nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will gather at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery in Burtonsville, MD.
