Sterling George Butler, Jr., a resident of Laurel, MD, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 06, 2017. He was 72. George was born on May 13, 1945 in Takoma Park, MD and was the son of the late Sterling George Butler, Sr., and Winifred Waters Butler Elder.
George was a lifelong resident of Laurel, MD. After graduating High School in 1961, he went to work for C&P Telephone Company until his retirement in 2001. His hobbies included, gardening, raising farm animals, watching the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Redskins play. He also was a Master Mason in Cumberland, MD. George will be missed by all who knew him.
George is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Olga Butler; four children, Margaret Anne (Peggy), Luther Corbitt (Cory), Kristie and Karen Will (Chris); two sisters, Janet Novotny (Gus) and Susan Mervine; three grandchildren.
All services will be private.
