Stephen J. Mccullen

Stephen McCullen, 50, of Lothian, died peacefully in his sleep August 6 at his home after battling a long illness. He was born June 29, 1961, in Laurel, and also lived with his family in Frankfurt, Germany and Bowie, where he graduated from Bowie High School in 1979. He spent four years in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea and California. Upon the completion of his military duties he moved to Arnold and served as a member of the Anne Arundel County Police Force, from which he retired as a Sergeant in 2009 after 23 years of service. In addition to his wife of 25 years, Suzanne, he is survived by four sons, Ryan, Kevin, Matthew and Shawn; parents, Marty McCullen of Gettsyburg, PA and Marilynne Kelly of Spring Hill, FL; brother, David of Gettysburg; three sisters, Kathi Einstein of Springfield, VA, Susan Dudley of Cumming, GA and Mary Santerre of Port Republic; 17 nieces and nephews; and numerous in-laws, including Judi and Daniel Snyder of Bowie. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 13, at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton 21113.
