Shakuntla Rajput-Medina

Shakuntla Rajput-Medina, DDS, a resident of Silver Spring, MD, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, at the age of 52. Shakuntla was born on March 6, 1963 in Chamboh, Himachal Pradesh, India, and was the daughter of Roop Singh and Kalawatti Rajput.
Shakuntla received a BS from George Washington University and DDS from Howard University in 1990. She was a very kind and caring person and was well loved by her family, friends and patients.
Shakuntla is survived by her beloved husband, Dr. Hiram I. Medina; three loving sons, Shaun, Nikhil and Dylan; devoted sisters, Sheila and Urmila; devoted brothers, Dave and Rajesh; and many loving and caring nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A Funeral Service will take place at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 11:00 am.
