On December 16, 2024, Savitri Tansukhlal Dorawala passed away at the age of 83 after a short and courageous battle with cancer.  Born in India, she lived in Wappingers Falls, New York for over 50 years, only recently moving to Severn, Maryland to be closer to her daughter.  She earned her bachelors in Library Science following in her father's footsteps as well as a bachelors in Accounting. She married Tansukhlal Dorawala on January 3, 1968 in India and on May 8, 1968 in Rochester, New York.  While in New York, she was a member of Rotary International and volunteered regularly at the local food pantry. Savitri was an avid reader of all genres and would love to read any book given to her or do any puzzle that came her way.  She was passionate about hosting her family and cooking delicious meals for them. Everyone was always welcomed into her home with a cup of her famous tea and a snack!

Beloved wife of 46 years to the late Tansukhlal Gokaldas Dorawala; loving mother of Amal Dorawala (wife Tina) and Aditi Miller (husband Dale); caring sister of Nandini Pandya and Kalyani Pandya; cherished grandmother of Karina and Neel Dorawala.
