Sanjay P. Sahadeo

Sanjay Sahadeo passed away on October 13, 2021.  Super Sanjay was the loving son of Pruatiman and Mona Sahadeo; cherished brother of Tara and Trent Thomas; adoring uncle of Mya Thomas. “Super” is usually an adjective reserved for those that have powers beyond belief. Someone who has the power to save, to persist, to teach us how to be better. Super Sanjay embodied all of these attributes and more. There was never a day when he didn’t light up a room with his boisterous personality and welcoming attitude. With the uncanny ability to save us from any seeds for boredom, Super Sanjay always invited anyone to play some of his favorite board games, lose to him in UNO, or sit back and watch YouTube videos of some of his favorite Disney rides. Super Sanjay was also always there to teach you the true meaning of persistence. Whether that was participating in the Special Olympics year-round, including golf (his favorite), floor hockey, bocce, and bowling, or volunteering at the library, he kept up with activities that brought him joy. Above all else, he had a love for life, a love for fun, and a love for his family. Super Sanjay instilled values in us that we didn’t even know we needed: to be light-hearted, patient, and compassionate, last of which especially seen during the final two and a half years of his life. Super Sanjay was the uncle to his favorite person, Mya Thomas. He took on the role of big brother and treated her like a little princess, by reading stories, rocking her to sleep, and playing many games. He was the best son (only son), the best brother, and the best uncle.
