On May 11, 2013, Salvador G. Gomez passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in San Antonio, Texas, on September 30, 1927, Salvador lived in Gambrills since the 1960's. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy for 21 years before retiring. He then worked for N.S.A. and retired again after 18 years of service before working for the state of Maryland for another five years. Salvador belonged to the Fleet Reserve Association and the Phoenix Society. He enjoyed reading, listening to music and playing the piano. He is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Santos Gomez. Salvador is survived by his children, Ronald K. Gomez of Abington, Barbara A. Gomez of Gambrills and Mark S. Gomez of Arnold; his siblings Gracie Delao (Texas), Eugene Gomez (California), Rodolfo Gomez (Texas), Carlos Gomez (Mississippi) and Gilbert Gomez (Texas); his grandchildren Todd, Alexander, Jordan, Laura, Lisa, Jennifer and Danielle and his great-grandchildren Tyler, Isabella, Spencer, Ethan, Alexandra, Gavin and Brooks. He was predeceased by his brothers Reuben, Edward and James Gomez and his sister Gloria Gomez.
