Sallie C. (Crabbe) Breeden

Sallie C. Breeden of  Laurel, MD and Front Royal, VA went on to meet her Lord on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Cherry Lane Nursing Center in Laurel, MD, at the age of 92.  Sallie was born on January 8, 1924 in the Northern Neck of Virginia, in the community of Lively.  She was the daughter to the late Ernest Crabbe and Grace A. (Clarke) Crabbe.

Sallie worked for the G.C. Murphy Co. and the Trailways Bus System, both in Washington, D.C.  She later became a Pharmacist with Standard Drug for over 25 years.  Sallie was a member of the Odd Fellows Club; she loved traveling to shows and spending time in the Shenandoah Mountains.  Her goal in life was to take care of her children; to raise them with the Love of God and to educate them with family values.  It was not until Sallie was in her 50’s that she learned to drive a car.  She will be truly missed by her loving family and devoted friends.

Sallie is survived by her three children, Dora Clark and her husband, Tom, Vickie Wortz and her husband, Jim and Paul Breeden and his wife, Janice; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and her brother, Otis F. Crabbe.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Breeden, Sr.; four sons; two sisters and a brother.

Family and Friends will gather at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m.  Interment will be private.
