Ruth Fuller Albertson

Ruth Fuller Albertson, a resident of Odenton, MD, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at her home. She was 91. Ruth was born on August 23, 1924 in Rocky Mount, NC and was the daughter of the late William Cecil Fuller and Beulah (Joyner) Fuller.

Ruth will be remembered as someone people always enjoyed being around.  The Navy sent her around the world with Clay; Puerto Rico, Japan and Germany.  She was a very active and outgoing person.  Her interests included bowling, square dancing, reading, playing bridge, golfing, jigsaw puzzles but her favorite things in life were her family and friends.  She loved her doll collection, especially her Barbies.  Ruth truly never met a stranger.

Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years,  Clayton M. Albertson, Sr., of Odenton, MD; four loving children, Carolyn Mulcahy (Ray) of Huntsville, AL, Mary Jo Clarke (Bob) of Riva, MD, Clayton “Skip” Albertson, Jr. of Riva, MD and Betsy Pavesi of Yucca Valley, CA; three devoted sisters of Rocky Mount, NC, Joyce Phillips, Mary Frances Taylor and Barbara Ann Drake; four cherished grandchildren, Jeff (Deidra), Scott ( Angie), Jennifer and Chris ( Sarah); two adorable great grandchildren, Elizabeth Ruth and Arianna.

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and on Monday, May 16, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00  pm.  A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Nichols -Bethel United Methodist Church, 1239 Murray Road, Odenton, MD 21113 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at MD Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at Nichols -Bethel United Methodist Church, 1239 Murray Road, Odenton, MD 21113.
