Ruby Mae Wallen

Ruby Mae Wallen a resident of Severn, MD, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. Ruby was born on November 5, 1936 in Blackwater, VA and was the daughter of the late Nancy Allen Hill and Andrew Jackson Hill.
Ruby and Onza were married in 1958 until his death in 2001. Ruby was a very loving and generous woman. She loved watching the birds and the flowers grow. She had bright eyes, a quick wit, and a kind and sensitive heart, a gentle touch and dedicated soul. One of Ruby's greatest joys was when the grandchildren would call her up and take her shopping for hours on end.
Ruby is survived by her three loving daughters, Rhonda Winters and husband, Larry of Severn, MD, Beverly Burdick and husband, Wayne of Severn, MD and Jeannine Butina and husband, Mike of Severn, MD; three sisters, Ethel McPherson, Clara Hill and Gladys Falin; brother, Jim Hill; seven grandchildren, Michelle Isenhart, Melissa Morris, Kimberly Butina, Amanda Butina, Ashley Butina and Adam Winters; four great grandchildren, Brittany Burchell, Allie Morris, Tori Morris and Aidan Winters. Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Onza Wallen, brothers, Lloyd, Bill, Champ, Joe and Jay Hill, sister, Betty Lou Hill, granddaughter, Crystal Butina and two great-grandchildren, Brandon Weimer and Alexis Weimer.
The family will receive friends at the Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Road, Severna Park, MD 21146 on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm where a Funeral Service will be held at 5:00pm. Interment will be held at Willis Cemetery, Blackwater, VA on Friday, January 20, 2012 in Blackwater, VA.
