Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Friend, Travel Consultant
Rose Stevenson, 71, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died March 13, 2026, at home after a prolonged battle with cancer. She was a resident of the Two Rivers in Odenton, Md.
Mrs. Stevenson, originally Rose Morina, was born December 11, 1954 and grew up in Adelphi, Md, where she met husband Jeff Stevenson. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. degree in Journalism and Public Relations in 1977 and married the same year. Rose and husband Jeff Stevenson was married for over 48 years.
Rose was a travel agency owner for many years until her death and won numerous awards during her time in the travel industry. She delighted in discussing travel with clients, friends, family and acquaintances, and was expert in helping clients in choosing the best travel options for their needs. Rose loved the travel experience herself and planned and went on many unique travel itineraries accompanied by husband Jeff. Her favorite trip was to Africa, where she had exciting encounters with many animals and especially her favorite animal, elephants. After her initial cancer diagnosis she was able to achieve a remarkable remission of her cancer. She continued to travel extensively and planned extended family and friend travel events until just a few months ago.
Rose also enjoyed cooking and baking, sharing cooking tips, and attending and hosting gatherings of friends, family and neighbors. Over the years, she relished the title of Mom, including soccer mom, football mom, and tennis mom. Rose was thrilled with the arrival of her grandchildren and the accompanying title of Nana.
Mrs. Stevenson is survived by her loving family, husband Jeff, sons Jeff Jr. and Eric, her daughter-in-law Paula, and grandchildren Anna, Clara, and Arthur.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
