In Loving Memory of Ronald Long

Ronald Lee Long, 69 years of age, passed on October 5, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband of 46 years to Barbara E. Long (nee Daniel); loving father of Heather Kerber (husband Cameron) and Kyle Long (wife Julie); caring brother of Barbara Grey and Ann Jolley; adoring grandfather of Hudson and Harrison Kerber and Tess and Grace Long. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, dedication, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life.

Ron was a resident of Northern Baltimore County, affectionately known as the Hereford zone, for over 40 years. There he shared his life's journey with his devoted wife, Barbara. He found solace and joy in gardening, creating numerous beautiful flower beds that flourished, much like the love he nurtured within his family. He began his career in landscaping using his skills and love for gardening. He soon moved to construction work, known for his strong work ethic.

An outdoorsman at heart, Ron found his greatest peace in the open air. He loved to fish, hunt, and explore the natural world around him. Whether casting a line into a tranquil river or tracking game through the woods, he reveled in the beauty of Mother Nature.

His love for the outdoors was matched only by his love for his family and faith. He was a member of the Methodist community, where he found strength and solace in his faith. Ronald Long was a man of exceptional character and unwavering dedication.

Ron was a sports enthusiast. He cheered passionately for the Ravens football team, Orioles baseball, and the Maryland Terps. His passion for sports was contagious, and he shared many memorable moments with his loved ones, watching games and celebrating victories.

His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association in Ronald's honor.

Rest in eternal peace, Ron. You will always be remembered, cherished, and deeply missed.
