Robert Rudolph Schneider

Robert Rudolph Schneider, a long time resident of Odenton, MD, passed away on February 24, 2016 at the Hospice of the Chesapeake  Inpatient Care Center in Pasadena, MD. He was 83. Robert was born on September 25, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ and was the son of the late Robert B. Schneider and Gertrude( nee Schwed )Schneider.

At a young age, Robert joined the Army and served his Country proudly for 23 years. He served in The Korean War and 3 tours of Vietnam. During that time he married the love of his life Rose Manderano. They had 6 children and were blessed to be able to travel and live around the world. He enjoyed his children, adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with his great grandson Blake. Robert was a big fan of the Washington Redskins.

Robert is survived by his loving sons, Robert Schneider of Severn, MD, Donald Schneider and wife, Rhonda of Crownsville, MD and Brian Schneider and wife, Dawn of Edgewater, MD; beloved daughters, Tammy Ward and husband, William of Bel Air, MD and Susan Clasen of Odenton, MD; ten cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Schneider, Whitney Carr, John Leatherwood,  Aubrey Schneider, Marc Clasen, Kalyn Schneider, Lindsey Schneider, Brian Clasen, Mary Clasen and Wade Ward; two great-grandchildren, Blake Carr and Kylee Leatherwood; stepbrother, Bob DeLong. Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Lucille Schneider, daughter, Susan Georgette Schneider.

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, P.A., 1411 Annapolis Road, Odenton, MD 21113 on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave. South, Millersville, MD, on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, MD
